The new Wolf Man didn’t live up to what it could have been, representing a setback for Leigh Whannell after the achievements of The Invisible Man. It has good acting, especially from Julia Garner, and there are some well-executed technical aspects, but the story itself is surprisingly shallow, lacking any real emotional resonance, and excessively dark at times. The film comes across as disconnected and empty, unable to delve into its deeper meanings or establish a genuine rapport with viewers. Credit should go to those responsible for the makeup, sound, and practical effects; however, these elements aren’t sufficient to compensate for what is ultimately a disappointing experience.
