Wish centers on the significance of individual hopes and striving to achieve them. While the story adheres to a recognizable pattern and doesn’t explore much outside its main idea, the sense of familiarity it creates is welcome. Ariana DeBose lends her strong vocals to portray the protagonist's motivating resolve, alongside a skilled ensemble in a movie that combines traditional and modern animation techniques. The film also features original music numbers which generally succeed in engaging viewers. It’s another enjoyable addition to Disney’s extensive collection, providing an agreeable time for people of any age. Rating: B
