This crime—occurring on a Wyoming Native American reservation—creates tension between local police and state authorities, but thankfully FBI agent "Jane" (Elisabeth Olsen) arrives quickly, and they join forces for what becomes a dangerous inquiry. They must find not only the person responsible, but also navigate a community filled with suspicion and harshness that isn’t necessarily supportive of their efforts. As the puzzle slowly reveals itself, we see some gorgeous scenery captured on film and receive strong performances from Renner, Olsen, the iconic Graham Greene, along with dependable contributions from a supporting group primarily made up of Native American actors. The narrative is quite somber; there's not much reprieve from the plot’s constant unpleasantness, but it remains consistently interesting and definitely worth seeing if you’re looking for something that will challenge your mind as well as entertain you.
