I entered this film with low expectations, and my assessment ended up being both accurate and inaccurate simultaneously. Throughout the entire runtime, Nicolas Cage didn't utter a single line of dialogue; the closest he came to speaking was during fight scenes when he grunted "ah." The other characters felt largely inconsequential, aside from the female character and the animatronics themselves. This isn’t remotely frightening. I did feel apprehensive about the animatronic Sara—or at least, that's what I believe her name is—but the others appeared too comical to inspire genuine fear. There were moments when the picture seemed distorted; the screen looked stretched, compressed, or even unsteady. The story essentially reworks the foundation of Five Nights at Freddy’s, attempting a distinctive twist. The group of rebellious characters embodies every horror movie stereotype imaginable: the intelligent one, the not-so-bright one, another who's unintelligent but attractive, the sensible character, and the leader who recklessly puts themselves in danger. They are called kids within the film, but it seems like the filmmakers intended them to be teenagers acting without a clear purpose; however, they come across as young adults engaging in activities simply because, well, why not? Seeing Nicolas Cage pummeling the animatronics is genuinely entertaining, and I believe those sequences were exceptionally well-executed. The "sex sense" that exists for reasons unknown had a gator just observing them—you know, lurking around. For an oddly long time. At the conclusion, Nicolas Cage retrieves his classic car, and the female character simply gets in without any conversation; it was strange to me, especially considering he wasn’t going to say anything anyway. She seems remarkably unfazed, almost as if she witnessed her friends being murdered by animatronics. She casually drinks Nick Cage's "Punch" soda, and that concludes the film. The ending is just peculiar. It feels like Tex and the mechanic died solely to ensure the building’s demolition—except for the girl, apparently. A very strange movie. Seriously. Oh, did I even mention that it appeared Nicolas Cage had an odd fascination with a pinball machine in the kitchen? This movie was bizarre.
