Seeing "Willow" for the first time gave the impression of a movie that’s silly but still kind of endearing, with some fun parts, though it's also noticeably shallow and cheesy. It possesses a certain appeal, but probably isn’t something you’d want to watch again because it doesn’t quite deliver on overall enjoyment. The way the story unfolds and how the characters are developed didn’t feel very good, so it didn’t manage to create that magical or absorbing feeling I was hoping for. Even though "Willow" gained a following as a cult favorite, it mostly comes across as one of those films defined by its corniness and cheesiness. The TV show made afterward, trying to take advantage of the movie's popularity, didn’t do well and got canceled after just one season. It seemed unable to get at what made the original film special, which resulted in a pretty boring and uninteresting experience. Ultimately, both the movie and the subsequent television series based on "Willow" didn't make much of an impression and felt rather dull and hard to get into.
