This film technically qualifies as a found footage movie. The initial portion, roughly seventy percent of the runtime, doesn’t really function as horror at all. It feels more like an independent drama centered on a peculiar journey and a very genuine connection between characters. I personally found it quite dull. However, things shift in the final third. Or rather, they're supposed to. A significant segment, containing most of the movie’s scares, relies heavily on whispers combined with a few screams. That section was my least favorite aspect. I believe the film shines brightest in its concluding scene. It isn't particularly frightening; we don't even get to witness what the movie is primarily about. Instead, it offers a glimpse of background information, some truly intriguing details that feel like a minor reference. Still, the online searches I conducted after watching were almost as captivating as the film itself. Despite how this might sound, my assessment isn’t entirely negative. The movie certainly shares common pitfalls with many found footage films—a slow build-up followed by an anticlimactic resolution—but it's not as poor as some others in the genre. It avoids being campy; it simply comes across as average.
