"Wildcats" proves to be genuinely enjoyable and allows Goldie Hawn a chance to display her talent again. It’s a very uplifting film throughout, managing to find a good mix between risqué jokes—including one scene where she appears nude—and stronger language than we typically see in a Goldie Hawn movie ("F * * k you!" and "Motherf * * ker!" are among the words she uses when talking about her former husband, Frank). Still, these elements don't detract from the fun or the humor. The only point where viewers might feel lost is during the final football scenes; a strong understanding of the sport seems necessary because of all the specialized terminology being thrown around, though at least it’s easy to follow what the score shows.
