This amusing brief film reimagines people—sporting pink wetsuits and goggles—as salmon, guiding us through their annual migration. We follow them from the upper reaches where they reproduce, down a hazardous route toward the ocean, and then back upriver to spawn once more, restarting the cycle. The characters encounter risks mirroring those faced by real fish: bears, birds with lengthy beaks, fishing vessels, and the constant threat of predation, as well as their own role in the food chain before some manage to survive—only to eventually succumb to age or fatigue. The animation style is playful and unusual, occasionally even harsh, drawing comparisons to modern human experiences like relentless work schedules and crowded city environments. I found it to be quite enjoyable.
