This was a film I found myself liking. The title *’Wilbur Wants to Kill Himself'* suggests a very bleak tone, and it does have that quality, although it wasn't quite as intense as I anticipated; there are moments of humor present, though they are understated, which is something I appreciate. I didn't find myself connecting with any one performer above the others, mainly because everyone seemed to be performing at a similar level. Jamie Sives, Adrian Rawlins and Shirley Henderson all provide solid performances, and if pressed, I’d probably select Henderson as my favorite. Mads Mikkelsen has a smaller part, but he still manages to make an impression.
