I was aware beforehand that some viewers would find fault with the topics addressed in certain jokes within the film—things like rape, mistreatment of animals, depression, death, and acts of violence at home. What bothered me most, though, was simply feeling uninterested while watching it. The concept of a darkly humorous collection of stories featuring a Dachshund seemed exactly like something I’d enjoy.
