It’s hard to describe this movie without resorting to ridicule. *That's My Boy* feels like Adam Sandler just went through the motions, demonstrating a complete lack of concern for his audience or anyone seeking an enjoyable comedy experience. I understand that humor is subjective and I won’t condemn someone's taste in entertainment, especially when it comes to what makes them laugh, and I certainly don’t agree with policing comedic boundaries, but this film falls incredibly short. Its performance at the box office was a disaster, and rightfully so. Sandler and writer David Caspe combine crude jokes with lowbrow humor, attempting to mix sexually suggestive gags with sensitive topics like incest and statutory rape—a combination that was always going to be difficult to handle well, particularly when they seem to believe volume equals comedy. The result isn’t funny; it's just a collection of random ideas surrounding a potentially touching story about a father and son reconnecting. Compared to this, *Little Nicky* seems brilliant! It’s a tough one for Sandler fans to stand behind, and I used to be one of them, but when the most memorable part is Vanilla Ice parodying himself, you know something's wrong. Susan Sarandon and James Caan should probably reflect on their decisions to participate in this... 3/10
