I’d heard about this film some time back, but it never really caught my attention. These movies tend to show up when you're searching for something specific, and that’s how I ended up watching it recently. I was aware going in that it was a lighthearted comedy, because the premise itself is unrealistic. Knowing it was purely escapism, I braced myself to enjoy whatever it had to offer. And despite not giving it a high score, I did find myself entertained. You’re probably already familiar with the plot if you've heard anything about it, so you’ll essentially know half the story beforehand. What remains is how that story unfolds, and particularly how well the jokes land. There are quite a few predictable elements, but it was still enjoyable, with some genuinely good moments and lines. The cast performed admirably. The makeup wasn’t perfect, but it served its purpose, especially considering the comedic nature of the film; any imperfections would likely be played for laughs. Overall, the movie exceeded my expectations. I'm happy I finally saw it—it stands apart from many other comedies I’ve encountered. I’ve seen similar ideas before, but this felt different and original. Ultimately, what makes this film special is its uniqueness; it's a standalone experience. Sequels often diminish the quality of the initial movie, and thankfully, there won’t be one with a second-rate cast and crew. It’s certainly worth watching, not a laugh-out-loud riot, but it delivers on what it sets out to do. _6/10_
