'What We Do In The Shadows', a comedy film from the creators of 'Flight of the Conchords', is genuinely funny, packed with clever nods to vampire movies like 'The Lost Boys', 'Twilight', and 'Let The Right One In'. The direction feels akin to the popular TV series 'The Office', generating humor through its realistic feel, personal interviews, and individual statements. This approach also enables moments of genuine scariness, particularly when a character based on 'Nosferatu' is introduced. The graphic and believable violence stands out as quite harsh, contrasting with the lighthearted jokes. The performers are all strong, maintaining a deadpan style and delivering their lines exceptionally well. ★★★★
