This isn't the familiar Meg that audiences know. Those who enjoy Meg Ryan’s previous work might want to skip this film; I regret having seen it. It's disheartening to witness so much effort yielding such a result. When the initial energy disappears, what’s left is just an empty imitation that diminishes the legacy of something once genuinely wonderful. The title may not have been intended as a joke, but "they missed their connection" feels very fitting. The two performers don't share any chemistry, and individually they struggle to create characters audiences can identify with. Dialogue feels awkward and unnatural, conversations are superficial. Both actors have previously starred in comedies (Meg in *The Deal*, David in *Connie and Carla*), but here we simply observe a sense of exhaustion. It’s truly disappointing.
