Tommy Wirkola departs from his usual lighthearted approach to direct this somber and tragic science fiction story. Fortunately, a skilled filmmaker remains a skilled filmmaker, and despite feeling somewhat more formulaic than it acknowledges—and with Glenn Close giving an effort that almost undermines the whole thing—he still delivers with _What Happened to Monday_. It's particularly noteworthy how Noomi Rapace portrays not seven characters as claimed, but **eight**, each distinctly separate. _Final rating:★★★ - I liked it. I’d suggest checking it out._
