“Werewolves” fails to live up to what it could have been. Instead of delivering the direct, intense action horror film many viewers hoped for, the movie largely becomes a melodramatic and overwrought production that’s difficult to sit through. There's not much in the way of action sequences, and those that are present aren’t particularly impressive. The creature effects also feel underwhelming, contributing to an overall feeling of disappointment with the film. It’s acceptable to create a lower-budget action horror movie, but it doesn't seem necessary for it to be badly written and generally disappointing. While some low-budget films have occasionally surpassed higher-quality productions, “Werewolves” isn’t one of those instances. I would advise skipping this one.
