"Weapons" blends elements of mystery, horror, and dark humor. The movie initially feels like an M. Night Shyamalan-style mystery, but it slowly shifts into disturbing psychological and visceral horror territory. Toward the end, there are touches of dark comedy as well. However, what truly makes this film is the reveal. I figured out the plot beforehand. People familiar with occult practices will likely understand the meaning behind the car scene featuring the sleeping teacher. Even though my guesses turned out to be correct, it was still unsettling to have them confirmed. The performances are generally quite good, and the script has a creepy inventiveness. Overall, it’s an engaging mystery that turns into horror, with a bit of dark comedy mixed in. It's definitely something horror enthusiasts should see.
