It's an enjoyable film that I’d happily view again and feel comfortable suggesting to others. I was surprised to see Alexandra Daddario ("Percy Jackson: The Lightning Thief") in this kind of part, as it seemed like a stretch for her, but she truly dominates every scene she appears in, displaying a considerable personality. Amy Forsyth also delivers a noteworthy performance, largely through portraying a timid character, which isn't necessarily straightforward to do. Similarly, I didn’t anticipate Johnny Knoxville (Jack Ass) having the authority needed for a preacher role, yet he brings an undeniable energy to the setting. The film initially gives the impression of being a standard slasher movie with unexpected turns, but the most significant surprise is how chaotic it becomes. It felt closer in spirit to "Duplex" than "Scream." To be frank, this cast’s dedicated performances are what prevent the movie from being truly awful; the plot itself is only moderately engaging and the acting just strong enough to pull it through. It's worth seeing, though I can certainly appreciate if you decide to pick something else: there’s a wide array of options out there.
