While the film’s rhythm occasionally seems uneven or unpredictable, the powerful ending ultimately justifies the experience. The Watcher unfolds deliberately, dedicating considerable time to highlighting the protagonist's solitude and feelings of being alone. This gradual unfolding amplifies the unsettling sense of surveillance. Maika Monroe demonstrates her skill in horror films again with this movie, as she has previously demonstrated in works such as It Follows and The Guest. I hoped to award a higher score than 3/5 because the film’s slow development, though deliberate and successful in generating suspense, led me to check my phone out of restlessness. However, the final twenty minutes are gripping and satisfying, making it worthwhile to stick around until the conclusion. As someone who appreciates horror films, I found Watcher enjoyable and would suggest checking it out, but don't anticipate a spectacular experience.
