The movie didn't manage to be very exciting. Even though it features recognizable Asian action stars, mainly from Hong Kong, and some impressive visual effects, the story itself feels weak. The writers settled on a plot involving an extraterrestrial plant, which comes across as fairly unoriginal, because that’s essentially what it is. There are moments of acceptable action sequences—featuring hostile alien beings inhabiting the massive plant and a storyline including attack robots—but ultimately, it seems like extra material was added to stretch out a fundamentally flawed concept. It's simply unremarkable, especially considering the talent involved and the budget allocated for its production.
