Aliens in a star-shaped spaceship come to Earth, and their appearance understandably causes alarm. To attempt contact, one of them transforms into a nightclub performer, with the goal of alerting people to an approaching meteor threatening complete annihilation. The responsibility then rests with "Dr. Matsuda," portrayed by Isa Yamagata, to create a device capable of destroying it and preserving humankind. The narrative moves along at a reasonably good clip, but the special effects—particularly the aliens resembling children in starfish outfits—are distracting. These visuals elicit more laughter than they should, preventing any significant or lasting impact from the story's more serious elements. The performances are not particularly strong either. Despite its flaws, it’s something you could sit through, as there is a moral message worth considering.
