It’s genuinely a B-movie treasure; the filmmakers cleverly combined a story about witches from the Salem period with a lower budget. What elevates this movie is its excellent humor, consistently delivered with complete sincerity. Numerous subtle jokes were incorporated, and they would have fallen flat if the performers had been overly theatrical—instead, they treated it with the seriousness of a dramatic work. The result was an exceptionally entertaining and pleasant filmgoing experience.
