There’s a sense of respect for Warfare that goes beyond simple enjoyment. The unconventional storytelling, deliberate slowness, and absence of clearly defined protagonists create challenges for repeated viewings—though the film leaves a lasting impression. It showcases impressive technical accuracy, offering an unflinching depiction of a war environment, and demonstrates what cinema can achieve when it disregards conventional approaches. While Alex Garland and Ray Mendoza might not have produced something that appeals to everyone, they’ve certainly made something genuine. That alone often proves sufficient. Rating: B
