The film "Warfare" presents a stark depiction of what conflict truly entails. It can be monotonous and even feel like navigating red tape, complete with coded radio transmissions. Yet, it’s also chaotic, intensely violent, and deeply disturbing to witness. This movie shows all sides of war—its dreary aspects as well as its brutality. I must say, it's disheartening; a sorrowful look at the senselessness and waste inherent in warfare. But that is simply what war is. It’s not about heroism or sweeping scores or impressive displays. I did enjoy this film. It avoids any sense of artificiality and prompts reflection on whether war is truly necessary, as well as questioning attempts to portray it as something admirable when it decidedly isn't. Ultimately, it offers an authentic representation of the reality of war—something that every young person considering a career in the armed forces should see.
