The film *Warfare* concludes as anticipated: with a somber and depressing feeling. The sound design is remarkable; the quality of the work means you experience everything audibly and physically. The plot unfolding in real time also proves quite engaging, maintaining an atmosphere of anxiety or suffering throughout. I mention that atmosphere because it’s somewhat altered by the initial scene. That was unexpected! It proved to be enjoyable, though, and offered a glimpse into the group's relationships. It probably shouldn’t have worked given how different it is from the rest of the movie, but I genuinely appreciated it. The music was great too. There are many recognizable actors involved, including Will Poulter, Joseph Quinn, Charles Melton, Michael Gandolfini, and D'Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai. No performer particularly distinguishes themself, which I believe is actually a positive because the story isn’t centered on any single individual—it concerns all of them.
