My expectations going in were pretty low, but I ended up being pleasantly surprised. The action sequences are solid, and there's a reasonably engaging narrative. It doesn’t break any new ground, but it feels nicely constructed. The most disappointing aspect, though, is Fimmel’s performance. It seems he just transferred the same character traits from Vikings into this role, resulting in a very similar portrayal. A definite highlight is Djawadi's excellent musical score.
