A truly remarkable film that I’d gladly watch again and suggest to others. Imogen Poots and Jesse Eisenberg, who previously worked together in "The Art of Self Defense," deliver outstanding performances as a couple held captive and compelled to care for a child. The core concept is exceptional—it brings to mind something like "Solar Opposites"—and it's difficult to talk about without revealing key plot points. It’s a skillful combination of familiar elements; you have the dynamic of captives, the adoption of an unusual child, a couple struggling with their relationship, and even a compelling mystery. I firmly believe that in any abduction scenario, giving the perpetrators what they desire is the wrong course of action, as there's no guarantee they will act in the best interest of those who’ve been taken, especially when holding all the power. The movie offers an examination of how people behave under extreme duress and when presented with a specific assignment, reminiscent of several "Twilight Zone" episodes. The film has strong production values; while it seems some resources were conserved due to a restricted number of settings, this limitation ultimately enhanced the storytelling. I can’t praise this enough—please watch it from beginning to end.
