The initial setup held promise, however, Viking Wolf doesn’t quite manage to be frightening. The story feels rushed and lacks the gradual development of suspense and dread that's usually present in horror movies of its kind. It’s unclear what direction the filmmakers intended, but ultimately the execution falls short, offering viewers very little to engage with. Generally speaking, werewolf stories adhere to a straightforward horror structure. Straying from this established pattern is likely to result in dissatisfaction.
