This one didn’t grab me, I doubt I’ll revisit it, and I can’t really suggest it to anyone. Initially, the film seems focused on women presenting themselves attractively and catering to men's desires, and Paltrow and Applegate do a decent job with that aspect. However, I struggled to find much substance beyond the idea of modest individuals pursuing limited ambitions. I don’t disagree with having simple goals, and the romanticized depiction of Paris is appealing for those seeking something more than their current circumstances. Nevertheless, the movie relies too heavily on this trope for comedic effect. If you dig a bit deeper, there's a faint allegory about women gaining power and achieving objectives through dedication and connections, but it’s very understated. It doesn't improve the viewing experience either. It’s pleasant and agreeable enough, but ultimately disappointing. There are likely more entertaining movies centered around flight attendants, and certainly better films available in general.
