It's essentially what I was hoping for—something like Assault on Precinct 13, but with zombies. Since Carpenter isn’t directing these kinds of movies anymore, you end up creating your own gory experience using creatures that resemble zombies. Naturally, don’t anticipate a sophisticated storyline or particularly insightful conversations. There’s definitely plenty of blood and brutality to be found, along with music attempting to capture the style of Carpenter. However, it suffers from being overly dark, having subpar picture quality, and an inconsistent rhythm. Ultimately, I didn't find it very enjoyable, even falling short of my initial hopes. Still, your own feelings about it might vary.
