Venom works well as a comic book adaptation; I appreciated the way they handled both the character and the narrative. It felt like a skillfully made film. The special effects are quite impressive. I believe the actors were appropriately chosen for their roles, and generally speaking, I found it enjoyable. Despite having a PG-13 rating, the movie has a dark tone and contains violence. While there isn't excessive bloodshed, there are instances of it. Characters largely endure physical harm like being thrown around or struck, though many survive those encounters. Nevertheless, some characters do meet their end on screen. There are scenes involving experimentation on people, as well as individuals being cut with blades. Firearms appear, but not often. It seemed to stretch the boundaries of what's permissible under a PG-13 rating. The film includes considerable profanity, including one use of an expletive, and also depicts frequent alcohol consumption. I would certainly suggest seeing this movie. I believe it’s best suited for viewers who are teenagers or older, although younger children who can tolerate intense violence might be alright with it.
