I’m really puzzled by all the criticism surrounding _Venom_; it's perfectly acceptable! It isn't exceptional, certainly. There were instances where I questioned specific choices and wondered why they went that route, while other parts seemed enjoyable, although I still felt it would have benefited from being a more authentic _Venom_ film connected to Marvel. However, it’s still satisfactory. The strongest scenes are those depicting the dynamic inside Venom—the relationship between Brock and the Symbiote—and the movie wouldn't be nearly as good if Tom Hardy hadn't been able to handle that aspect. It seems a _Venom_ film would have been better suited for an R rating, and it likely should have drawn inspiration from contemporary superhero films rather than those from fifteen years ago. Nevertheless, I enjoyed myself watching _Venom_; maybe it isn’t the ideal adaptation of the story, but I'm happy we got this version. _Final rating:★★★ - I liked it.
