It's an acceptable, though somewhat artificial, political action film—the politics are superficial and inoffensive. The individual storylines were passable, although Forest Whitaker’s portion felt particularly absurd. I am uncertain whether the segment involving the news crew was intentional, and Sigourney Weaver seemed to be misused. Despite these issues, the action set pieces and car chases toward the end proved impressive, and casting Dennis Quaid as the central figure of the group was a sensible decision. It’s likely suitable for an evening's entertainment, even if the shifts in perspective didn’t entirely gel, and I still enjoyed it. 3.5/5
