The moments when Claire Foy isn't present are where _Unsane’s_ acting quality noticeably declines. It's good Soderbergh can still make movies with substantial budgets, but the limitations of smartphone camera technology are apparent. While it manages to convey the necessary imagery for most of the film, the picture quality is consistently a distraction. The story in _Unsane_ isn’t poorly presented, though it feels familiar and, given who directed it, I expected more. _Final rating:★★½ - There was much to like about this, but ultimately it didn't quite come together._
