It’s been interesting lately seeing horror series attempt comebacks, and frequently the follow-up film ends up being stronger than its initial installment—a development that wasn't always the case. This holds true for _Unfriended: Dark Web_. Nearly every aspect feels like an improvement over the original _Unfriended_: The performances are better, the technical aspects are more polished, there’s a greater sense of immediacy, the pauses aren’t as long, and even the shift in how the villains are handled—I won't reveal specifics, but it shouldn’t be too difficult to guess based on the title—feels like a positive change. At least, that's my impression. Neither film is flawless, of course; the first _Unfriended_ was just passable, but this one manages to elevate itself, barely, into what I would genuinely consider good. _Final rating:★★★ - I liked it. I’d suggest checking it out._
