It’s disappointing to say this film is largely unremarkable. It marks the directorial start for someone usually behind the scenes, and I believe they showed promise. However, a fundamental problem holds it back. The movie isn't terrible; there are good performances and the production values are acceptable. But its style feels misplaced, like it arrived far too late—at least twenty years past its prime. Those who’ve seen a fair amount of movies will likely find this familiar territory, having already encountered similar stories from the end of the previous century. The title is ironic; regrettably, the film is forgettable. Despite that, the ending leaves things unresolved, suggesting a possible sequel—a notion I think would be misguided. The story felt predictable and the scenes unfolded as expected. The conclusion was particularly underwhelming; I’d hoped for something more inventive. The plot developments and surprises were all quite standard. While the actors did a reasonable job, that doesn't make it worth seeing just to support them—it’s only appealing if you’re a dedicated fan of one of the performers. It seems clear they exhausted their creative resources; why recreate an existing formula with new people? It would have been more appropriate to label it a remake or reboot. I don’t recommend watching it unless you're relatively new to film or haven’t seen many movies. _4/10_
