I wasn't anticipating a truly great drama given how well the movie turned out, but I am pleased with it nonetheless, especially in its depiction of pregnancy, particularly teenage pregnancy. Rather than simply focusing on the downsides, the filmmakers presented a touching story centered around the bond between two young women who find themselves pregnant at the same time. Following an unexpected pregnancy for both a high school teacher and her student, they connect to navigate those difficult moments. As they make plans for what’s ahead, obstacles arise, and how they deal with them unfolds throughout the rest of the movie. I understand Cobie Smulders was actually pregnant during filming, which I thought added something special to her performance; she really stood out. It's not often I see her in leading roles, so it allowed me to appreciate her acting abilities and beauty more than I have in films with larger casts. Her co-star wasn’t lacking either. The plot is intriguing and the writing is solid, but perhaps not enough to captivate a broad audience. However, certain viewers will likely enjoy it, especially women who've experienced something similar. Sometimes you go into a film with expectations, only to be disappointed if it doesn’t meet them. But this one simply delivers what it sets out to do; whether or not you like it, that’s all it is. _7/10_
