This isn’t really a film designed to be enjoyable; instead, it presents an unusual concept about how extraterrestrial beings might infiltrate our world. The premise involves aliens adopting human appearances by taking over their bodies, and much of the story unfolds within a van traveling through Scotland. A being from another planet, posing as a person, searches for solitary men in remote areas with the intention of seduction and skin theft. However, when she becomes overly interested in experiencing what it means to be human, her established pattern is disrupted, and the film follows her subsequent journey. It wasn't the kind of movie I was hoping to see, which is why I avoided it initially. Despite that, I found myself appreciating aspects of it; it wasn’t as dull as others had suggested. Typically, films are made for entertainment and distraction, but this one lacked those elements, likely contributing to its poor performance at the box office. It's possible some viewers will connect with it, especially considering critics seemed to appreciate it, which is somewhat unexpected. Directed by the same person behind 'Birth,' and starring Scarlett Johansson, who was undoubtedly the strongest element of the production. The narrative can be a bit perplexing, so not everyone may grasp it immediately, but those who do might find it rewarding. The scenery was remarkable; watching it on a chilly, stormy day really captured that authentic Scottish feel. I almost wish I’d given it a higher rating, and I don't regret my initial assessment. It’s not something I would readily recommend, but if you are tired of standard, mainstream movies, then it could be worth checking out. _6/10_
