I'm drawn to sports betting; it's an area I find interesting and occasionally participate in, within legal boundaries. This film seemed like something I’d appreciate, given the cast and the central idea. However, my main impression is that the acting was really poor. I could elaborate extensively on how the actors appeared unengaged, delivering lifeless and exaggerated performances, but there's a limit to what I can express here. The opening scenes of the movie were simply awful and unnecessary—both the sequence featuring Brendan Lang as a younger man and the college football portion felt jarringly out of place and comical. The most enjoyable part was initially watching him team up with Pacino’s character to start their venture. Around halfway through, the film became nearly impossible to sit through. It suffered from a weak plot, subpar acting, and what seemed like consistently flawed choices throughout the production. There were unresolved plot threads, storylines that didn't logically connect, and an overall lack of attention to pacing, performances, and the viewer’s experience. In short, unless you have a strong interest in sports gambling and are looking for something to satisfy that, I would suggest skipping this film.
