This new *Twisters* film was pretty much what I anticipated and I found myself enjoying it. The action sequences are a step up from the first one, although not by a huge margin. However, I felt that the characters and the actors portraying them weren't quite as impactful this time around. When you consider both films together, they’re probably about even, which is actually positive for a sequel. Even with my reservations about some of the performers, I did appreciate Daisy Edgar-Jones’s work and especially Glen Powell’s; he stood out to me as being particularly good. Still, I hope that Powell can move beyond playing characters who are initially portrayed as overly confident but ultimately prove to be decent people, because it's starting to feel repetitive, even though I genuinely think he’s a talented actor.
