I really loved *Twins*! It’s one of those movies I’d heard about for ages – it felt like forever, actually – but somehow I never got around to watching it until now. And I’m so glad I finally did; it was a genuinely good time. Danny DeVito and Arnold Schwarzenegger work incredibly well together. DeVito is consistently great; he's one of my go-to actors. Schwarzenegger surprised me, too. I’ve seen plenty of his films over the years, but this is probably the best performance I’ve seen from him so far. I tend to think of him as just playing tough guys, so it was nice to see a bit more nuance in his acting here. Kelly Preston's appearance was interesting, although I wouldn't have known who she was without checking the opening titles. Marshall Bell was also good in his part; I wish there had been more of him, he made for an effective villain! It’s disappointing that a sequel never happened. It would have been amazing to see DeVito and Schwarzenegger reunited as older characters... especially considering Eddie Murphy was rumored to be involved early on. That would have been something special.
