"Tweety Pie" really didn’t do it for me. He comes across as an unpleasant and scheming little creature who employs his innocent facade to stop "Thomas" from doing what cats are supposed to do—catch him! The setting is a very snowy garden where these two characters engage in what's called "play," but predictably, their owner intervenes to rescue the bird once again. She’s set on getting her pets to get along, though it seems unlikely. Tom comes up with increasingly complex schemes to get at the bird in its cage, only to be repeatedly outsmarted—and often hurt—by his skinny opponent. But what's the point, really? The bird isn't even meaty! It’s entertaining enough, full of action and some amusing devices, and by the time it was over, I disliked that bird even more than before.
