Because it was filmed using actual refugee children, the sense of being uprooted feels incredibly genuine. “Satellite,” a resourceful adolescent, guides other kids who remove landmines, displaying a dark wit and resilience. The acting is powerful, clearly influenced by difficult experiences. The ending is intensely upsetting but avoids sensationalism. It's challenging to view—a truly memorable and important work.
