The film lacks a palpable sense of suspense. To begin with, this feels significantly less developed than "Fall." It even has a larger ensemble cast. It attempts to create tension, though not particularly effectively, and features some peculiar character developments that feel out of place. The main characters are difficult to connect with, the villain doesn't make much sense, and Kelsey’s performance is stiff. Fortunately, some sections aren't as drawn out as others. While it isn't entirely devoid of substance—it avoids being completely empty, which would be fitting for a movie centered around a balloon—it ultimately lacks depth.
