Truth or Dare (2018) falls into that category of horror movies that maintain a brisk tempo but possess an unsettling sense of déjà vu; it’s as if various horror components have been combined in ways audiences will already recognize. The initial premise is reasonably captivating, and the film's creation seems well-executed considering it’s a Blumhouse production, though nothing particularly innovative emerges.
