Joseph Kosinski has managed to update TRON in remarkable fashion, creating a visually impressive science fiction story that appeals to contemporary audiences. It’s surprising to realize that Top Gun wasn't the first franchise Kosinski revived decades after its initial release; similar to his work on *Top Gun: Maverick*, he demonstrated a real talent for bringing back established series. *TRON: Legacy* surpassed the original film in numerous aspects. I recall being completely captivated when I experienced it in 3D IMAX, particularly by the visual effects (though the technology used to make some actors appear younger now seems somewhat out of date, it was remarkable at the time), the music, the narrative, and the performances. Kosinski successfully bridged the gap between the past and present by including Jeff Bridges and Bruce Boxleitner while crafting a story that would resonate with new viewers. While I wasn't particularly invested in the first film, I thoroughly enjoyed this one. It gave the impression of being the start of something truly special; however, Disney’s subsequent acquisition of Marvel and their focus on the MCU seemed to put those possibilities on hold. Given Kosinski’s success with *Top Gun: Maverick*, it would be wonderful if a *TRON 3* could become a reality because I'd welcome further installments.
