I have mixed emotions about this one; I found it entertaining and it introduced some interesting elements, however, I didn’t feel connected to the world as presented in other parts of the Tron universe. Recently, I’ve been immersing myself in all the official Tron content and have developed a real fondness for the franchise. Many people who saw it with me hadn't done any background research, but they still enjoyed it; one even said they preferred it to Tron: Legacy. The individual scenes and concepts were quite impressive, and the action sequences were technically well-executed. However, I didn’t get the same sense of emotional impact from the action as I did in Legacy. It doesn't feel like a true Tron film without Flynn, Alan, and Tron, and that’s where my main disappointment lies—it focuses on entirely new characters who weren't part of the established story before. It didn't contradict anything previously known, and there were references to earlier events, but it simply wasn’t the same experience without those beloved characters. I also wish they had explored the Encom programs more; they were significant to Flynn, and there was so much potential for interesting developments with them. I was also let down by the choice of Jared Leto; his acting was acceptable, but my personal feelings about him made it hard to focus on what he was doing on screen. The pacing felt awkward at times, with humor injected into unexpected moments by characters who seemed unnecessary. This wasn’t a problem in either of the previous films and really pulled me out of the experience this time around. The music was excellent; Trent did an outstanding job. Overall, I thought it was a fun film that I would suggest to those who liked the original Tron or Legacy. But if you're a dedicated fan, don’t go in expecting something extraordinary.
