This film proved enjoyable, bringing to mind *Trollhunter*, another story with similar themes, though on a noticeably smaller scope—a handful of hunters versus Norway’s entire government and armed forces. When it comes to science fiction or fantasy, I'm inclined to be more lenient regarding the script quality, and this one seemed reasonably well-crafted and acted. There were some familiar tropes about governments automatically resorting to military force during emergencies, but oddly enough, it was a comfort to see that behavior attributed to a country other than the United States. The creature’s visual effects and the destruction sequences appeared quite good, even though I'm not an expert on special effects. The movie's conclusion felt somewhat underwhelming and didn't entirely convince me regarding the strategy used to stop the troll, and the final shot suggesting more trolls exist contradicts earlier statements claiming this was the last one. However, as I mentioned at first, the film kept me engaged and entertained. Really, what else could I want?
