It had potential to be a decent film, but it’s unfortunately marred by what seems like politically motivated messaging from people on the left. Even someone who'd been completely out of touch with current events would likely understand the concerns about cultural identity that Europe is grappling with after seeing this. A significant portion of the actors aren't Norwegian, and there’s also a noticeable push for narratives around interracial relationships.
