"Trolls 2" carries a resemblance to the initial movie; there isn’t much that feels fresh or inventive here. The story expands gradually, revisiting the concept of Nordic trolls from the earlier film. While some new elements and plot developments are introduced, the movie doesn't manage to achieve anything substantially original that would establish it as a proper continuation of the first installment. The action sequences are executed effectively, but the ending feels rushed, appearing and disappearing abruptly. Ultimately, while a sequel isn’t necessarily detrimental, it’s essential to provide something beyond what was already presented. Sadly, "Trolls 2" doesn't manage to improve upon the strong foundation laid by its predecessor; it's an unremarkable viewing experience.
